Perftech was created to offer a unique range of quality perforated metal products, coupled with a customer-focused offer to take to the industrial and architectural market’s both domestically & abroad. We specialise in the supply and delivery of a comprehensive range of perforated metal products including Perforated Metal Sheets, Met-Ex® Expanded Mesh, Woven Wire and Aluminium Forged Grating.

We’ve built the business around a strategically mapped supply chain, in order to provide our customers with a consistency of seamless supply options, both locally and abroad. It’s a critical component of our focus on delivering service excellence, along with a broad spectrum of products. Whether it be smaller bespoke or large-scale made-to-order architectural projects, we’ve put in place a number of measures to ensure we deliver on this promise.
A one-stop-shop solution
We have a range of signed-off agreements & supplier partnerships that are vast, covering almost any need that might arise for perforated metals. These supplier relationships are supported with tightly defined Service Level Agreements, which ensure we can maintain the service that is expected in the New Zealand marketplace. Perftech is the only dedicated perforated metals supplier that can manufacture the three core perforated products locally. This means you will only need one point of contact to provide all your perforated metal requirements.
Depth of product and industry knowledge
Perftech founder Matt Burns has over 15-years of hands-on experience in the industrial and architectural metals industry. Matt’s knowledge of the market and experience, combined with our range of products and supply partnerships, means we can recommend and source the right solution for your project or ongoing needs, then substantiate this with efficient service to streamline the process for our valued customer base. Matt understands that a “one size fits all” approach to business in New Zealand can be limiting whilst also recognising the importance of processes to be implemented when required.
Manufactured in New Zealand
Perftech is the only company dedicated to the perforated metals industry across New Zealand that can offer the three main core products manufactured locally for perforated screens, woven wire and Met-Ex™ expanded mesh. Not only does this allow Perftech to manage quality control and faster turnarounds, it gives the designers, architects, and builders peace of mind, knowing that no matter what happens outside of New Zealand, Perftech will be able to supply the product they need to complete tight deadlines in the different regions of New Zealand.

While we’re proud to supply the majority of our range from the New Zealand manufacturing plants, we have also developed long-standing relationships with some of the world’s leading suppliers in the perforated metal industry. This means that no matter what your requirement, we can find the solution you need. Our overseas suppliers are well equipped with advanced innovative technology, supplying products manufactured to both the British & US standard specifications. Therefore key stakeholders in projects can be comfortable knowing that these suppliers have robust systems with ISO90001 accreditation and equipment in place to fulfill orders on time and in the specification required in New Zealand.
Ability to scale production
Our customer’s delivery requirements can vary significantly from project to project. As a result, we’ve put in place contingency plans to allow for occasions when additional capacity is needed. It means, we can scale our production requirements to suit your required timeframes. We have regular S&Op meetings to ensure that the sales team is speaking openly with the factories to ensure we are all on the right page and focused on our customer’s expectations.
Agility in supply offer
We are representatives of Amada turret punches, as well as an “all across” coil perforating machine and an Amada laser punch. This machinery is spread across two sites in the North & South Island mitigating the risk of supply issues if we were to face further regional isolations, making Perftech a safe choice when selecting your supplier for projects.
In-house Powder Coating line
Perftech provide an in-house powder coating line for our perforated panels, this reduces risk for our customers with any potential freight damage or scratching prior to an installation. Perftech has teamed up with a well-established global leader in the metal surface finishing industry, Akzo Nobel, who offers a timeless range of standard and unique made-to-order powders from the Interpon colour range. To assist our customers brand and long-term sustainability, Akzo Nobel now offer a 25-year warranty on all of its pre treated powder coated products. Metal Fabrication
We offer a wide range of value-added fabrication services including punching, folding, laser cutting, welding, CNC machining & etching at competitive very rates. We also have access to one of the largest press breaks in New Zealand at 6000mm and a perforated coil machine that helps cost efficiencies on stocked products and bespoke orders. No job is too small or large for the Perftech team.
